QbitBrains LLC, operating under the CounselRisk brand (“CounselRisk,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), provides digital products, frameworks, templates, guides, and related materials through the CounselRisk website.
CounselRisk is a specialized AI governance initiative of QbitBrains LLC.
This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for purchases made through the CounselRisk website.
1. Digital Product Nature of CounselRisk Offerings
CounselRisk products are digital materials, including downloadable or access-based frameworks, templates, guides, and related governance resources.
Because these products are digital in nature and may be delivered immediately, made available for download, or accessible shortly after purchase, all sales are generally final unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated by CounselRisk in writing.
2. General No-Refund Policy
Except as described in this Refund Policy or where required by applicable law, CounselRisk does not provide refunds, returns, or exchanges for:
- digital products that have been delivered, downloaded, or accessed
- framework materials, templates, guides, or similar downloadable content
- purchases made in error by the customer after checkout has been completed
- dissatisfaction based on subjective preference, internal business decision, or a determination that the materials are not suitable for a specific use after purchase
- failure to use, review, customize, implement, or internally adopt purchased materials
3. Limited Circumstances Where CounselRisk May Consider a Refund
CounselRisk may, in its sole discretion, review refund requests in limited circumstances such as:
- a duplicate purchase of the same product made by the same customer in error
- a verified technical failure that prevents delivery or access to the purchased product, where CounselRisk is unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable period
- an incorrect charge or billing error
- another exceptional circumstance where CounselRisk determines that a refund is appropriate
Any such review is handled on a case-by-case basis. A discretionary refund or accommodation in one case does not create an obligation to provide refunds in future cases.
4. Delivery and Access Issues
If you experience a problem receiving or accessing a purchased product, please contact us before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.
In many cases, delivery issues can be resolved by re-sending access details, confirming the correct email address, restoring access, or providing reasonable technical support.
5. Timeframe for Refund Requests
If you believe a purchase may qualify for review under Section 3, you should contact CounselRisk promptly and, where possible, within 7 days of purchase.
Your request should include enough information for us to identify the transaction and evaluate the issue, such as:
- purchaser name
- email address used for the purchase
- date of purchase
- product purchased
- transaction or order reference, if available
- a brief explanation of the issue
6. No Refunds for Internal Suitability or Legal Review Decisions
CounselRisk materials are intended to support internal governance review and decision-making. They are not sold with a guarantee that they will be suitable for every firm, jurisdiction, operational environment, or internal use case.
Accordingly, refunds will not be provided because:
- your organization decides not to use the materials after purchase
- your counsel, compliance team, or internal stakeholders recommend revisions or a different approach
- the materials require internal customization, adaptation, or review before adoption
- your firm later determines that another framework, vendor, or internal solution is preferred
7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe there has been an error with your purchase, please contact CounselRisk first so we can attempt to resolve the issue directly.
CounselRisk is operated by QbitBrains LLC, and charges may appear on your bank statement as QBIT BRAINS LLC.
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first attempting to resolve an access or billing issue with CounselRisk may delay resolution and may affect future access to CounselRisk products or services where appropriate.
8. Changes to This Refund Policy
CounselRisk may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
